It's a series of articles and stories that are designed to inform and educate consumers about the world of insurance
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
To break the complex language of insurance down to easy-to-understand concepts. Additionally to arm them with information so that when they have to negotiatie with a claim adjuster or discuss coverage options on a policy, they making informed decisions and not just accepting what the insurance "professional" offers.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
BLOGSPOT. Easy to use. Run by Google (usually pretty safe there.) Simple application and works for what I want to accomplish.
What do you blog the most about?
I blog most about insurance, obviously. But the heart of the blog is how does that information relate to making YOUR life easier and better. When that claim happens to you, I want you to get the best settlement possible because: 1) You set up the insurance correctly and 2) you have the skills and the knowledge of what's going on behind the claim scenes to get the best settlement possible.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Only those that are just selling stuff. SpamBlogging I call it. It insults my sense of what blogging is supposed to be about
Give five of your best blogging tips.
1. Write with your reader in mind. 2. Keep it simple. 3. CHECK YOUR SPELLING and GRAMMAR 4. Have a sense of humor (NOTHING is that serious!) 5. Use lots of pictures
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
Anything I couldn't show my kids to read
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
Yes and no. Blogging is dual purpose endeavor. 1. I wanted to share with more people the exerience and insight I've offered to my client base for years. 2. I hope to direct some people from the blog to my insurance agency who may possibly become my clients as well. Not much success in the later yet.

2-3 hours a week
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I think I do. Not sure yet.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
Just one more "widget" thing I haven't added to the site yet. Should I? My son really likes the Digg site.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
no. never heard of it yet
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Just learning that now. Don't have much going there as I wanted to get some good content present at the Blog before sending people there. Have a pretty good base, so I guess that's the next step.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Don't know enough "other blogs" to make an intelligent choice here.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
No big ones yet. Be organized.
