www.MyPlanFinder.com Interview

By Interviewer at 04/02/08 18:07
Name of your website?

www.MyPlanFinder.com

Your name?

Bryant Waldron

Your Location (city, etc)

Houston

Please give us a short summary of your website?

MyPlanFinder.com is a multi carrier quoting engine that provides real time Health Insurance plans and the cost of those medical plans. The plans can be filtered by a selection of plan concerns.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To reach all of the state of Texas. I hope to have a good amount of Health Insurance shoppers on the Internet connect to this website.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This website MyPlanFinder.com was launched September 2007

How did you decide on a name for your website?

After many hours trying to find a name that was not taken I decided to go with MyPlanFinder.com. It was a good name to go with. I have now learned alot about the web and marketing to understand why a person might pay for a name that has alot of connections.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I hope to be as good as the other name brand sites. I offer real time quotes, and a person could apply online with carriers. A lot of sites will lead you to think that you’re getting a quote but they just generate a name and information to sell to others. In real life not many go through with the apply online because of procrastination, so sites just harvest names to resell to make money.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I might sell for 5 Million. Or keep it and work on the site to promote my products.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Not a real success yet, but I keep spending time and money to see if it is profitable someday.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I do not think any more development is needed other that making it easer to apply with carriers and that would take the next leap in technology development on the backend. Untill the process is made client frendly these types of sites will be used just for lead mining.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Ha I wish. I do not think after doing research on SEO that that will happen any time soon..

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Just the cost of marketing a websiet with PPC ads. And not getting to the top 10 with keywords. A real lot of work and little to show for it. A person can easly give up because of Disappointment.

What has been your biggest challenge?

SEO has to be the biggest challenge.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

PPC ads. Thats the only way I get any traffic.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I expected at least some traffic.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I will keep it one year and if it does not get the traffic and sales I will either sell or not offer online insurance quotes.

What is your hope?

To be a major website in my line of products.

What is your website address?

www.MyPlanFinder.com
