What inspired you to launch your own website?

I decided to build my own website about insurance as recently I changed home insurance companies and saved over 50% on my insurance and thought that other people may have fallen into the same trap I did and just kept renewing their insurance policy.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first site was a shopping site in 2003 providing information on secure online UK shops and services.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It just seemed to explain what the site was about.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Its easy to navigate and offers a number of UK insurance sites to get cheap quotes from and is updated every week.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I want to keep the site for income, I will never sell it as defeats the objective to help others.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Its only just started

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would get the website upgraded to search hundreds of online quotes for the customer and give them the best policy for them.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None so far.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting the hosting and domain name.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Only just started promoting it.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It hasnt its a great past time.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

1 month so far and it keeps on growing and growing.
